Celtic Connections returns to Glasgow in 2019 to chase away the winter blues in January and February! The UK’s number one celebration of Celtic music will see more than 2,100 musicians from around the world, perform at 300 events, spread across 20 venues, in our great city.
The biggest music festival of its kind, it consists of concerts, ceilidhs, talks, art exhibitions, workshops, free events, late night sessions and a variety of unique one-off musical collaborations. Glasgow’s venues, streets and pubs will be buzzing with locals and visitors alike from around the world, all eager to enjoy the party atmosphere.
Celtic Connections encompasses many genres of music, including jazz and soul, folk music, gaelic, indie and fusion, so there’s something for everyone. The festival is within easy reach of the Waterhouse Inn via A82 by car in about 40 minutes, or you can get there by train from Balloch Train Station in around and hour.
